Very large "NumberOfStudies" for Cosmos_Motion in performance log

Question asked by Dean Mazure on Jul 7, 2011

We are getting the following and would like to understand if this is an issue others have seen.  In the performance log is the entry:

<COSMOS_MOTION> CMD:Statistics OPTION:NumberOfStudies=1019314472 OPTION:NumberOfMotors=0 OPTION:NumberOfActuators=0 OPTION:NumberOfSprings=0 OPTION:NumberOfDampers=0 OPTION:NumberOfForces=0 OPTION:NumberOf3DContacts=0 OPTION:NumberOfContactComps=0 OPTION:NumberOfGravities=0 OPTION:NumberOfPositionResults=0 OPTION:NumberOfForceResults=0 OPTION:NumberOfMomentumEnergyPowerResults=0 OPTION:NumberOfOtherResults=0 OPTION:NumberOfSolvedWithCM=0</COSMOS_MOTION>

It seems that when numberofstudies is high, it is a problem, because we get an Access Violation from SolidWorks in the SolidWorksPerformance.log:

<VEXCEPTION> "Access Violation at 41958bac (virtual address 00000008), attempt to read from memory";

<RAWSTACK> slddrwu:41958BAC:00308BAC,slddrwu:4195984A:0030984A,sldappu:473E24FB:002B24FB,sldworks:496D4FF8:496D4FF8;

<STACK> slddrwu:uoSelTitleBlock_c::getSceneGraphNodes,slddrwu:CreateFeatureFilter,sldappu:app_callDll,sldworks:Unknown;

Any help or hints are appreciated.

Thanks.
