Hi
Can anyone help me on the problem of simulation study? I have a hook which lift a roll or steel which weights is 20 ton I want to know the deflection of the hook, that how much deflection will be occurred in the hook and also want to know that weather the hook thickness and radius are enough to lift the steel roll?
Now what is the problem happening with me that if I put 20 tons load on the hook or 2 ton on hook I get the result same for both cases.
Here I give some step by step pictures of the simulation which I did to that part.
Thanks

Your picture is showing just the deformation scale not the value, so I believe you may be getting this value same for both the loads. Make sure you're looking at the deflection value and not scale. And if you can attach the model, one can surely look at suggest you something.
