Hi All,
Rob from SolidWorks Product Definition here. I’m doing some research on geometry feedback and have a question for everyone.
Currently in SolidWorks, if you select points or vertices in a model, the X, Y, Z, coordinates of that location are displayed in the status bar. Tools/Measure will also return the location of a selected point or vertex. Also, in a 3D sketch, the X, Y, Z coordinates of your cursor are dynamically returned in the status bar.
Have you ever found yourself using either of these methods to find the location of a point on a model? If so, what were you doing that you needed to access this information? Were you reverse engineering, working with imported data, placing reference geometry, etc?
Also, is there anything that these three methods cannot do that you wish would? For example: An easy way to export or copy the coordinate information.
All feedback is welcome.
Thanks,
Rob
