I have some PDF files stored in our Workgroup PDM Vault, which are not solidworks drawings, just documents.
Through Solidworks Explorer, I used to be able to select the PDF file from the folder tree, and a preview would appear in the bottom right side of the screen. From here I could scroll through the document, save it elsewhere or print (without needing to check out, brilliant)
Now the preview does not work. When I select the document, it says 'you must download Adobe reader to preview PDF files' with a link to the website.
I already had adobe, but I did it anyway and am on Adobe 10.1.
The problem started when I installed Adobe Writer trial, which I had to uninstall and go back to using Adobe Reader.
In the window explorer right click on any PDF file and select properties. Now set the open with option to Adobe Reader. This should set the PDF to open/read back with Adobe Reader and you should be able to see the preview as earlier.
