I have done this in the past and I thought it was just a matter of opening a new part then setting file type to step. I am getting an error of incompatible or improper file type
I have attached the file to see if anyone else can do it

yeah, me too. For some reason it was extracting it to a different folder (parent) but in Win7 explorer it makes a subfolder to the zip file. So from within SW I could not see that it was still a compressed file. This is something I do not like about Win7, it creates a lot more folders than necessary.
Btw, have you found iges or step to be better importing into SW? Or not really much?
In W7, when extracting a ZIP file you need to edit the target directory so that it directs to the original directory, or wherever you want it to be. W7 wants to create a new directory with the name of the original ZIP package.
Bonnie,
I don't really see that much of a difference.
I extracted this at work on a 32 bit XP machine and I have extracted files at home as well
and that is win 7 and I don't get extra folders. It might create one by default to extract the
file into, but that depends if it was created with Explorer zip or winzip.
Bonnie,
I got it to work.
