Build priorities for Surfacing + FEA

Just got the go ahead to build up a new computer for primarily solidworks and simulation work. Still waiting on a definite budget, but want to have some idea where I should be focusing my money.

Majority of the files I work with are complex surfaced parts, sometimes imported from Rhino or other 3d software, occasionally with 5000+ faces/surface bodies. Usually they're closer to 1000 faces built from surfacing tools. I both build and run simulations on these files.

FEA is typically linear large displacement, although I'd like to run nonlinear and dynamic more often - just takes WAY too much time with my current box.

With a fixed budget, which components should I be prioritizing? HDD speed? CPU cores/speed?

Thanks!
