I am trying to model the lifting of an assembly using Solidworks static simulation, I am unsure how to go about this (since I am a novice to fea simulation), the main questions being:
1. How would I apply the constraints on the model to make it stabilised since the assembly that is being lifted is not actually fixed in reality?
2. Can I just apply the centre of gravity to balance out the upward lifting force as a way of constraining the model?
3. How do I apply the upward lifting force through the eye hole of the assembly at an angle (rather than normal) to its surface?
Any advice on how to go about this would be much appreciated, many thanks!
