Is there a way to fix these lil buggers so that they don't move when you move your view? Don't some searching and I don't see a way....thanks!
When you say "don't move" do you really mean that they do move with the view as you move the view? Or are you desiring something else? If the former, then making sure they are attached should accomplish that. If they are part of the view, they should move with it.
the only way I can see is to look into the lock view focus, but I don't think that is exactly
what you are looking for.
Or edit sheet focus and place them at will. But that is guess on the locations, but they don't move.
When I place them, they are not "sticky" to the part or the drawing view. If I move the view on the page, the datum target does not move with the view, nor does it stay attached to any linework in the part.
That's weird because it doesn't work that way for me. Are you drawing your part through sketch tools or are you inserting a model view?
Inserting a model view.
That is weird because they are working for me. I move my view around and they go with it.
What version are you using again?
Is there anything in this link from the help file you are over looking?
Nope, not missing anything. SW 2011 Premium SP3.
Ok, same version I am using. Is anyone else in your department experiencing this?
Have you tried replicating this on another machine?
Check to make sure that you are placing them in the proper view. Try locking the focus on a view before placing a target. If that doesn't work, then I lthink something is broken in your installation.
