hello everyone,after running the simulation,how to build a 3d plot about the deflections to the net load and location.
Hello Lei: Do you mean a 3D Contour Plot? I don't believe the FEA simulation has one (Simulation Flow has one, however). Or, maybe do you mean a scaled-deformed shape? You can edit defintion on deflection or stress plot and choose an option in the PM labeled "deformed shape". Or do you mean a graph of displacement or stress relative to location on the model? (I know, that's not 3D), but you can probe a set of locations on the model and hit the "graph" button in the PM. Are any of these what you need? -Tony
Thank you for your help ,actually ,I tried the ways you talk about .But I really need a 3d graph with one axis of displacement and one axis of stress and the other one of location.
Hi Lei: I know you can save output such as displacement or stress relative to coordinate or parametric location into a *.csv file, then you could pull the *.csv files into Exel and make a 3D graph. For example, you could probe an edge entity on a displacement plot and produce the graph in 2D, then save that output to a *.csv file. Next, do it again on a stress plot and save that to a *.csv. Then open the *.csv files into Excel and arrange columns to make a 3D graph. That's just a suggestion. The PM for each plot in Simulation has a "save" option that will write text output. And there is another problem.The number of nodes I probe in stress are not same with in displacement.For example ,there are 6000 nodes in stress but 10000 in displacement.
