This maybe an over simple question but,  Sometimes I see the reference in hole notes to be backward.

In other words - the view as drawn would show a hole with a counterbore on the back side - but my hole note says the counterbore diameter & chamfer are on the ( near side ) And the hole detail as viewed has reference info for the ( far side ).

How would I correct this....?????

And while I am typing - if a .500 diameter hole is shown going through a 1.000 thick plate and the hole has .050 chamfers on each side, why does the hole note reference the .500 diameter as going ( .900 ) deep instead of the 1.000 is actually is going through...???

I can see this is mathematically correct - but as a process, it is bad info   -  Sometime this confuses the guys reading these prints.

Thanks

Rich
