Hi..
Not sure whether this is a bug or not.
I am trying to open multiple SW files (Parts / Drawings / Assys) in SW simultaneously by rectangular selection in browse file dialog box. When I select around 50 files, SW starts opening each file but crashes at 45th file.
I am on SW 2010 SP.0 on Win Vista x86 with enough RAM and hardware to open these files. It does not matter what file size I choose or how complex the model is.
My task manager still shows some memory so I believe SW does not start writing on the HDD and hence crash.
Let me know if anyone has observed it.
Thanks

Wow. 45+ active documents at once? That never sounds like a good idea to begin with. Why would you possibly need to have 45 document windows open? That is not good practice, and I can understand why SolidWorks would choke.
You are probably running out of system resources because you have so many windows open. Open the task manager, and View>Add Columns to add GDI Objects. how many are in use when you open 45 documents? https://forum.solidworks.com/community/administration/performance/blog/2011/03/07/system-resources-running-low-aka-gdi-handle-depletion
I suggest another method than opening up 45 documents at once, there has to be a better way.
