Installation error

I am a network install on our windows xp server 2003. After I enter the port 25734@server name I get the following error message:

The installation manager cannot verify this server exists: 25734@server name. Make sure you typed the name correctly. Do you want to continue using the server name?

Should I click yes , I cannot find this in any documentation. I'm sorry if this question has been asked many times, but I could not find the answer anywhere on the forums or the Solidworks website.

Welcome to the forum.
What exactly are you trying to install? Sounds like a network connection issue.
Have you tried contacting your VAR about this?

I'll ask the obvious question here - did you type "25734@server name"? You need to replace the "server name" with the name of the server that is the license server. So to answer your question, you can click "Yes" and then fix the problem.

  I tried that, but I am still having problems with the clients connecting to the server. I have disabled the win firewall on the server. Could it be possible that the port has to be opened up or persmission set? This server is behind the district firewall ?

    I think that is absolutely possible. I have seen where the firewall had to come down for a short period
    of time to do things like this.
