You could create a report to do this. Do you want to check for SolidWorks part (sldprt) files that haven't been used?
EPDM 2011 SP2
Yes thats exactly what Im trying to do - have you any pointers?
In attachment you can find report based on SQL just import it to reports in EPDM.
This report find parts (only parts) with no references in database.
Note that references are removed from the database when you destroy file not delete them.
Report is partially in Polish but you can easily change it.
I can not guarantee that it works 100% of the cases because I do not have time to complete tests it

Thanks Daniel, Ive given it a go and will see what happens - appreciate your help
We use a state on the file to do clean up's apfter a project is finnished. All files starts in CONCEPT but when the files are edited we have to choose a new state like: development, check, calc, approved. After the project is finnished we just search for the remaining concept files and remove them.
