How do I convert this one bend to equally spaced segments, say 36 at 10*
The best way is to redo the part as a sheet metal Lofted Bend. It has a built-in option to specify the number of bends.
I believe the only method to add bend lines in your part is to sketch them manually in the drawing view.
Remember that Lofted Bends does not seem to use for example K-factor to flatten, so the result is sometimes useless for manufacturing. You can make a basic loft and change that to sheetmetal, then you can have the control over k-factor etc.
Thanks for the tips.
What I ended up doing was create a polygon with 36 sides for the top of the cone then a line down to the small end and used the sweep tool.
I then used the sheet metal tool "rip" and then selected a outside face for the "insert bends" However it didn’t work. After spending an hour figuring out why!! for some reason it wouldn’t auto relief "tare" after selecting oblong or rectangular it would unfold.
I've found sheet metal tools to be super finicky, It would be nice if it just explained what the problem was and highlighted it…
