I have an issue where nearly every action I make in an assembly causes the assembly to rebuild.
Is there a setting that causes SolidWorks to do this. The old installation on the XP Workstation doesn't have this issue but the newer workstation (Win7 64bit) has always had this problem from the initial install. It is almost quicker to use the old machine.
Thanks in anticipation.

You can try (check) few things to avoid it:
1 Check under Tools > Options> Performance that Verification on rebuild is unchecked
2 Switch on Large assembly mode (you may change setting based on number of components in the assembly) and make sure to select Suspend automatic rebuild
3 You can defer the update of assemblies until you are ready to rebuild the assembly. To do this, right-click the assembly name at the top of the Feature Manager design tree, and select Suspend Automatic Rebuild.
