Hi all.
I am learning Routing Piping and have hit a snag. we have a piece of equipment that has 4 sets of inlet piping runs with pumps. (they are the same) i need to put one in and pattern it 4 times. I have created all my piping in one routing assembly. I guess routing components cannot be patterned??? Argh. I'd like to have all the piping in one assembly is this possible or do i need to have this section separate? Thanks in advance!

Using Pattern in routing is possible, at least it is in SW 2011 version.
What version are you using ?
What is it exactly that you are trying to do ?

please see attached picture. all the piping u see is in one routing assembly. i am trying to pattern the vertical run with the pump (4X). when i try to linear pattern i get an error saying the selected component is a route component and cannot be used in patterns.
I can pattern the entire assembly but thats not what i need to do.
I am using SWx 2011 sp3.0
i actually figured it out by your picture!! i have to do the pattern by opening the routing aseembly and doing it from there. i was trying to do it at the top level while editing the routing assembly
