Were on the latest version of SolidWorks 2011 - SP 3.
One of our users is getting this error message. He has a fairly new HP Windows Vista box with plenty of RAM and hard drive space.
I opened Task Manager and looked at memory usage while using Solid Works and it wasn't even close to being maxed out.
When the user clicks on the hole wizard this out of memory error comes up and stops the hole punch from working. I looked online but most of what came up were older versions where they fixed it in newer versions.
Greg,
I get that error quite often now, too. Ever since I upgraded to SW 2011 it has gotten much worse.
My problem is because I am still running 32 bit windows, which cannot access enough memory to properly run SolidWorks.
Can you give us a bit more details on his system? Which operating system, 64 bit, and how much RAM is "plenty"?
How many other files are open when this error pops up? How large of assemblies do you work with?
