I have a need to have sizes change in a feature of a part from a design table to judge the assembly measurement change. I have parts in a design table, 24 of them, and I need to have a hole diameter change to reflect what the measurement will be in height on an associated gage. Can Solidworks make subconfigurations?
Can I add another Design Table for the various sizes I want to review once in an assembly? Diameters of 4.17 to 4.22 and maybe the depth changes of the counterbore above?
No, it will only allow you to add one design table that will control
all of the main configurations and the derived configurations (sub configs).
Not quite sure if I'm following you, but I think you're looking for derived configurations. Look them up in the help. They can be controlled in a design table, with the heading $PARENT.

I haven't done it that often and it has been a while, but yes you can make sub configurations.
Just click on the configuratins tab, select the config you want it under and RC on it and select add new derived configuration.
