I have a BOM in a assembly drawing. All part quantities in the BOM are correct except for one part. For this one part, the parts mass is displayed in the quantity column. Does anyone know what going on here. I am using SW 2009 sp5.1
TIA

Edit: Looks like someone else gave you the answer while I was taking forever to type mine...
Without looking at your posted file, I think the issue might be pretty simple. If you have custom properties filled out for your part, then I'm guessing that you might have one of your custom properties (mass) assigned as your BOM quantity.
For example, I have a part with the following configuration properties tab:
If I click the "BOM Quantity" drop down and select "cut length" or "weight", then that value will be used in the quantity column when that component is part of an assembly bill of material.
I selected "cut length" (which is 1.5"), clicked "ok", and saved the part. Then I opened an assembly drawing with that part in it and looked at the BOM:
This is a pretty handy trick if you have items where the quantity isn't going to be instances (like needing wire lengths, or some volumetric measure for grease, for example).
Rick, in the custom properties, you have the quantity field overridden, change it to "none".
Don't forget to change for both "Custom" and "Configuration Specific" tabs...
That should fix your problem.
Cheers
