Can you give more details? What exactly are you doing/trying to do to the dimensions
when this error comes up. Are these dims added in the drawing or insert models items?
The file is already created in SolidWorks with all the dimensions and checked in in EPDM vault. When Sometime we checked out the file to made some modification the error comes suddenly at that time i cannot do any modification in dimensions, when i click on any of dimension the error window comes and i have to cancel it 10 times around and it comes on any dimension which i click.
In both cases whether they are driving or driven dimension the error comes
If i will close that SolidWorks session then again open the file in SolidWorks then problem disappears. Somehow it cannot be reproduced again, it comes suddenly and much more related to the Current SolidWorks session.
Does this happen on any other machine?
What are your machine specs and what version of Solidworks are you running?
I know you said you can't repeat it, but if you are at any point you should try using the
Solidworks Rx tool to record this and send the recorded file to your VAR for them to submit to
Are you able to post this file for others to take a look at to see if they can reproduce it?
There are 4-5 machines. We are running SolidWorks 2011 SP2.0.
M/c Specs are:
Windows XP 32 bit
Nvidia Graphics Card compatible.
The problems comes on any system at any point of time.and with any file. I have done this created the Rx File submitted the file to VAR but nothing works neither able to reproduce the issue after working with for so long.
Well, I know when I was at SWW2011 they emphasized that first 2011 will be the
last system that will interface with XP. MS is phasing XP out. The other thing is
they would recommend a 64 bit machine. The being said 32 still functions. Looking at your
specs I would say, and this might speak to your other posting about your dims not auto
updating, is your memory. 2GB is starving the software. 4GB is the base minimum and you have
2. If you are able to I would increase it to at least 6. Then see if you are having the same issues.
Thanks Scott, we too were discussing on the same issues and thinking to upgrade the hardware.
Your welcome, Hope it works out for you.
Best of luck.
