Hi all,

I had a meeting to attend in Toronto last week where I had to present our FX Dept.'s latest designs, to the Director, Producer and the rest of the keys.  My old Dell laptop was slower than molasses, especially with large assemblies, so it was out but what to get?  After reading a few posts on the SW forum, I decided to bite the bullet and buy a MacBook Pro, for many reasons not having to do with SW.

Intel Core i7
4 cores
L2 256KB, L3 8MB
4 GB ram
SW 2011 Premium

I set the laptop up using boot camp, loaded up everything I needed and WOW, was I blown away!
Incredibly fast, absolutely no choking or stalling, just great performance.  Plugged into a wide screen HDTV the presentation went flawlessly.

I'm writing this to thank all those who posted about SW on Mac's, I'm not giving up my PC workstation anytime soon but I'll never go back to a PC laptop!

Thanks again, DC
