When I try to use it, I get an error message that says "The database file 'C"\SolidWorks Data (3)\lang\english\swbrowser.mdb' is not the expected version (14.09)" Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?
Sounds like your toolbox database is not compatble to the version of SolidWorks you are running.
It might be as easy as a need to point your toolbox to the right C:\SolidWorks Data folder (The (3) makes me think you got multible toolboxes installed from previus versions of SolidWorks) via Tools->Options->Hole Wizard/Toolbox
Did you just upgrade your SolidWorks seat? if so, is that the version you are having this issue with?
I will agree with Lars as well. I would also suggest that you place your toolbox on a network
drive so it can be backed up periodically. A specially if you or your company modifies parts
to suit your companies standards.
I agree with Christensen, Pointing to that hole wizard database feature should sove this problem.
our SWBrowser.mdb is on a network server and from time to time this file will get updated by accident....
it creates a backup before it does this update, so I typically delete the current file and rename the pervious version back to its orginal name...
this seems to fix this error for users...YMMV
I am agree with Christensen too.
you can follow the process to update your toolbox..
open your SolidWorks installation directory...........then got SolidWorks./ Toolbox/data utility..........then double click to "UpdateBrowserData.exe".. then select the path of SWbrowser.mdb file.
please do backup of SolidWorks data folder(Toolbox folder) before update this to avoid any misshapenning in updating the data.
