Do a help search within SolidWorks for "sweep". Also the tutorials for "sweep" will point you in the right direction.

Hi everyone. I would like to know how to flatten an auger too. My company buys augers in as 1 pitch long and then weld them together on a centre shaft. I can sweep the auger flight out, but I would like to see what kind of shape when it flattens out. My manager told me it's a industry secret how to develop auger. Big thank you to whoever knows how to do this and willing to share.
This should take care of your need: Quick tip on flattening a screw conveyor flight
Except that it does not tell us how to flatten the flight.
The author of the post had told to use Sheet metal (under picture 3), so you can get the flat ten pattern by un-suppressing the flat pattern feature.
Thank you. Deepak
Thank you Deepak,
