When I make an assembly that has parts that move ( like a swinging gate) how do i mate the part so that it stops when it makes contact with other parts. (like a fence) Right now it spins 360 degrees and I want it to stop when It touches a part.
You can't do that with mates but can achieve it via Stop at collision in Collision Detection mates will be to use
The work around with using mates will be via using Angle Limit Mates The only thing need is to calculate the angle value.
I have a similar thing in my assembly. When the gate is closed you can do either
a parallel mate or coincident with a flat surface on the swing door and one on the fence.
I hope this makes sense.
Try angle mate in advance mate.
