Need to copy large assy and have all in-context references renamed

Hello. My need is to take an existing large assembly (>500 parts and subassemblies) and copy and rename it so as to create a new set of files. Many of the parts are created in-context and I want to retain that reference. During the copy and rename operation, I need to have all in-context references renamed as well, so PART1 being in context to ASSY1 will become REN_PART1 being in context with REN_ASSY1. I can see in SWX Explorer where I can do this one at a time with the original files, but after I copy and rename the files, I cannot change the in-context reference to the new named assembly. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
