I'm trying to create a drawing that has a sheet metal part (multibody sheet metal, modelled in context) When I enable the flat pattern the bend lines are not near the middle of the radius. It creates an impossible shape. When I suppress the closed corner the bend lines are where you would expect them to do. Is there a work around?
First image shows the model with closed corner suppressed.
The second image shows the problem.
On a side note when I collect the bends manually it shows the correct flat pattern. However there are no bend lines.
Hope someone can help.
Hello Michael,
You probably found your answer by now but have you tried unchecking all of the options (i.e. merge faces, simplify bends and corner treatment) in the Flat Pattern "Edit Feature" option, i reattached your file here if that helps any or makes sense. but if you do that, when you go to create a drawing out of the flat pattern all of the bend lines are shown. Let me know if I can help, .
