I am having same error mentioned by kenneth in the thread below. This is just started today.
Kenneth has also posted his server log few posts down. My server log is also with the exact same description.
This has really scared me as Kenneth was not able to find a solution.
Error is so readom and I do not even know what to try. PDM server restart didn't work.
We are on SolidWorks 2010 SP4.0

I hope this is the case with us also. We only had 17 GB left on the server at the time this started. (In the past, we have come to only 4 or 5 GB left on the server and this problem didn't happen at that time.) We have cleaned up the disc more and now I have around 60 GB on the server. I have not seen this error message in last couple of hours. I hope it stays this way and I am gonna see IT to free some more space.

The problem has not gone away even after freeing some space on the server drive. Some users are even getting vault error 40 with check in aborted message. I am still not able to pin point reason for this happening. Very frustrating...

Have you tried shutting of the service to the vault then
rebooting the server?
Yes. That didn't work. I don't even know what to try next.
I am going to check how big vault is. I don't know it right now. I guess I will start archiving some old projects and see if that helps.
I was going to suggest archiving, but when you said in an earlier post
that you were deleting and cleaning out files I thought this might have been
what you had started doing already.
Our vault size is 170 GB. We have 1900 projects in the vault. We have around 20 users. I don't know how to check how many documents we have in the vault.
Anyway, does anyone think that 170 GB is quite a size and it might be a reason we are getting check in aborted error.

As I said earlier, our vault size was 170 GB. I archived around 30 GB in last couple days. And, we haven't seen error message at all today. I hope it stays that way.
Someone has said in the past that 150 GB is close to limit and I guess I am seeing same thing here. I am sure this number would be different for every company.
I guess I have learned a lesson to keep archiving data frequently (We have never archived anything before.)

Just as a point of interest, how many files are in the vault and how many projects (folders)?
The advice has always been to have many projects with files scattered through them instead of few projects with all the files encapsulated within.

We had this happen several years ago, so I don't remember what happened, but I can tell you that the problem went away and has never come back. I think our problem was that our server was running out of room on the disc. The problem went away when we either moved to a larger disc or to another server.
As I recall, one of the symptoms for us was that larger files tended to have more problems than smaller files.
