I'm applying an unfinished birch to some wood and setting the mapping by -planar projection - current view- and rotating the texture 90 degrees. In Photoview it is not rotating. Anyone having issues with this?

Yes, I have these issues as well. RV or OpenGL doesn't always match PV360 What I do, I have the preview window open while I'm mapping the apperance so I can see what's happening in the SW graphics area and PV360 at the same time. If the two don't match I close the appearance property manager and rebuild the file. I then edit the appearance again and typically the two views then match so I can map the appearance. If they don't match I have to keep closing the appearance property manager and rebuilding the file to have the PV360 update so I can see the changes. I always map so the PV360 preview looks correct (I want the rendering to be right) so when finished you may have the correct mapping in PV360 but it's incorrect in the SW graphics area.
Yes, this is a PITA
Rob,
Does this explain why, in most cases, my SW OpenGL view looks nicer to me than the PV360 preview?
This is especially true on darker background scenes.
I feel like i have to tweak the SW view to the point where it looks awful just to get the PV360 preview to look correct.
Seems like the baseline would be equal, where when you first started PV, the images would be identical and you could enhance from there.
thanks
