Scott,
Create a new drawing and in the property manager select the configuration
you want represented in that particular drawing. You can do this for each
config.
but then i have to have the correct part numbers and description come up in the bom.i the part model i found that i can right click on the configuration and go to properties and put in the part number i want to show in the bom. i can aslo go to file properties and set the description and part number there as well. wich is the correct way or what is the difference between the two ways to set your part numbers?
Scott,
Either way will work. They both feed the custom property values.
As a side note you may want to look into the tab builder as an
option for filling out your properties. Once it is setup it is a breeze to fill them out.
in one drawing the desription for one of my parts would not change but the part number did. also the balloon had an * so i decided to close that drawing and start a new one. i put in the bom and everything is good. i opened the first drawing and deleted the bom, put in a new bom and that fixed my problem.
