when i define a linear spring, i am very confused by the exponent of spring. as far as i know, the force in the compression spring is found from HOOKE's law,F=Kx . And, the exponent do affect the result. To my surprise, when i choose 3 or 4 for the exponent, the result is very similar to the that in the textbook. I really need a help , thanks for your attention.
