When I open the routing library manager from either programs or from within SW it crashes when I try to start/modify/open any library files.
I am having the same issue. (I believe) Here is the message I get. Anyone?
If you have User Account Control (UAC) on, you might need to turn it off. You might also need to find the C:\Program Files\SolidWorks 2012\SolidWorks\rtlibrarymanager.exe and select "Run as administrator".
I'm currently having the same problem with the same error message. Did you guys find a solution?
I ran into this problem with both SW2011 and SW2012. In the end it was due to the fact that both installations were upgrades that had borrowed settings from the previous versions, and I was sloppy with my pathing. -so this may or not apply to your situation:
My Routing Library Manager would crash conistently after loading, whenever I tried to apply a change. - or the program would crash when i tried to use a library part. The problem turned out to be that I had an invalid path for a template (or something similar) in one of the sections of routing that I dont use (electrical routing). I never used it, so I never even paid attention to those paths. Once I corrected the pathing, even returning the settings to default, I stopped having any problem with the manager.
Checking the UAC and running as admin, as Ostrovsky says above, has turned out to fix many problem as well. I dont know how people function when they dont have admin access to their workstations.
Run as administrator for all users, this will fix the crashing and the file settings tab remaining at user settings and not returning to default.
