I am having an issue with an imported weld symbol. please see attached. It brings in the size, but the spacing of 3.00 is not present. thoughts? i dont see any settings that would control this. thanks in advance!
you are limited from weldment bead as to what the symbol interprets.
i would consider this to be a bug.
solidworks will most likely say it functions as intended (a.k.a. half-baked).
anyone else having this problem????? thanks!
works ok here.
try setting it to a staggered weld. thats where the issue is. unless i'm not understanding the standard weld symbols
what is that funny looking bracket before 3 in model?
are you letting SW generate the weld symbol for the drawing? the weld properties dont look grayed out like mine do. The funny L thing is an ISO symbol. if i select ANSI i get the 1st image with no info
it was imported from model.
i'm not familiar with ISO.
what are the lines before "3" in model screen shot?
if i have set to ISO the lines before "3" do not import into drawing.
it must have something to do with the ISO standard symbol, i was toggling through the different standards and it popped up. but i cant get what you've shown with staggered conditions, can u post some screen shots of the feature tree where u created the weld bead, then the options screen for weld symbols? thanks in advance!
no weld bead.
from model, insert> annotations> weld symbol.
i see i am doing it from the insert, weldment fillet bead, would u try that and see if results are ok? Thanks again!
this indeed confirms the BUG..... think i'll report it to my VAR. thanks for all your help!
