I've been looking for some discussion on the Clearance Verification tool in these forums, and haven't found any. Does anyone use this tool? (found in assemblies, in the Tool menu, Clearance Verification).

I have some questions about how it works.

If I select two parts that don't interfere, and then click Calculate, it ALWAYS tells me there are "no clearances". It only returns a clearance in the Results if there is actually an interference.

The Help says:

Lists clearances that fail to meet the minimum acceptable clearance.

I guess I get what it is meant to do, by I'm not sure how to get any value out of it.

In my case, it never shows clearances, it only shows interferences.

Does anyone use this? Can you get useful information from this that you can't get from the Interference Detection?

Can someone explain to me why the results it gives are more valuable than actual clearance information? I guess the kind of info I'm looking for is more like the Dynamic Clearance information in the Move Component tool. Comments anyone?
