Force vs. RemoteMass, completely different results

I have a mass of 500kg, or a force of 4900N, pulling these structural beams down. I would expect both of these to yield similar (but not exact) results. However, there is about a 3x difference. The mass load pushes the problem even beyond the small displacement assumption I'm taking here. The force load does not. Both ends of the model are bonded to a small additional portion that is fixed. Is the mass load generating large reaction moments?

What am I missing here?
