if i have a model with configurations, i want to keep some features in one configuration. our parts are aluminumextrusions that we machine. my model has a as extruded and a as machined. this happened a couple times where i added a feature to one configuration but it wants to go to the other. i try to reconfigure the feature but it wants to take another feature with it. it seems that the new feature became a child of another feature that i want in the other configuration. the only thing i can find is that the two features are related. can i remove a feature from the parent?
