Hi,

I have to make hollow airfoil section of thickness > 3mm. Thickness direction should  be inside.

I am trying to offset the sketch inside and extrude to desired length. But Solidworks not letting me offset sketch where as AutoCAD and RHINO can offset this sketch easily in either direction.

So is/ are there any better way(s) to do hollow section from this sketch?

Note: Currently, I am doing as follows:

1. extrude solid section

2. convert edge of section to new sketch.

3. break relation and trim the trailing edge of sketch and then offset to desired thickness.

4. extrude cut new sketch.

(surface offset didn't work either)
