I have a scketch like this from other company, how to create it? Normally I use equation.
Ping, this is the result of a dimensioned sketch chamfer...see picture below....
In the sketch, call the chamfer tool, specify the dimension to chamfer and select the corner to apply it to...
That is nothing more then linking dimension values.
look like "to Link Dimension Value"
The Sketch Chamfer tool with the Distance-Distance option creates the links automatically.
Click equal distance.
I guess I am at a loss as to what you are asking. I assume you are wanting the two dimensions to be the same. i would us equations as well. Create both dimensions, highlite the dimension you want to be driven, select the down arrow under the dimension and select equation. Another method would be to use chamfers either in the sketch or as an added feature. In sketch or in features select the chamfer icon, select the two edges to chamfer and you are given the option of angle-distance, or distance-distance and you can select equal or different distances and set the distance.
I guess I would be more inclined to use the feature chamfer and put it later on in the model tree if possible so that the chamfer doesn't effect following features if altered. But that depends on what your design intent is.
Good to know, I never use sketch chamfer before.
