I would like to not display the tolerance with DimXpert. How do I do this?
Do the oppsite of what this is telling you.
Sorry, but I'm not getting it. I keep selecting the "Show tolerance Status" icon but nothing happens. The Tolerance does not go away. Is there anyway in the System Option I can set this to not display?
What mode are you trying to do this in? Drawing, part...
When you say nothing is happening do you even get them to flash or completely nothing?
Have you tried a hide/show condition?
I know in part mode there are settings in the tools>options>document properties under dimxpert.
I'm trying to do this in Part mode and when I click on the Show tolerance Status icon it highlight the surfaces on the part and nothing changes on the dimensions. Not sure what you meant by try the hide/show condition. I did go thru all the options in the Document properties within System Option and nothing there seems to hide the tolerances. Thanks for replying.
No problem, wish I could think of another solution. Right now, I am drawing a blank.
If I come up with anything else I will certainly let you know.
I hope I can answer your question. The "Show Tolerance Status" show the status of the part and if it is fully dimensioned using the DimXpert annotations as described in the help. This button does not deal with the '+/- 0.5' tolerances that are applied to the dimensions.
If I understand your question, you are asking to not use 'tolerances' on the DimXpert dimensions. If this is the case, then you can turn the tolerance off via the property manager as seen below. Does this answer your question or are you wanting to not have any tolerances when initially placing the DimXpert dimensions?
"...are you wanting to not have any tolerances when initially placing the DimXpert dimensions?" - yes, I would like to know how to do that? Couldn't find the answer in the web so far...
Anton and Mukesh,
If you are looking to not have tolerances put on originally, then go to Tools>Options>Document Properties>DimXpert and change all of the tolerances to 'General' for all of the different dimension types. These are the default tolerances when created new DimXpert dimensions..
Unfortunately it doesn't change anything. I've even tried to save and open template with these settings, - the same. So far, I only know how to make this manually for each size separately...
Are the dimensions shown in the picture above 'Location Dimensions' in which case you would need to change the settings for that also, not just the size dimension settings.
That's it!) Thank you, Thomas!
