click on simulationxpress in Solidworks 2011 standards and nothing happens
Thank you for the respond, Deepak. I've restart and reboot the computer but the problem is still the same.
The icon simulationxpress shows at the task pane, but inside the taskpane is blank.
Usually when I click on simulationxpress icon, some windows will pop-up and ask for material, unit of measure etc.
Actually I will make an Solidworks Rx and send it to Solidworks support center sometime today.
Brian Ross from Go Engineer has helped me to solve the problem. Here is his instruction:
"The installation appears corrupt. Make sure you have full admin right to the machine. Go to add/remove programs and click on the change button next to SolidWorks. The installation manager will open up and choose to repair the installation." (Case # 170477).
But you should put the Solidworks 2011 disk to the computer drive first, before go to add/remove programs step.
Now, SilmulationXpress works fine with me. Good Luck
Deepak,
We too are having this problem. I am an instructor at a Comm. College. We are running SW 2011-2012 and have recently added SP5. Since we added SP5, the task menu come open but is empty. We do have a part loaded when we do this. I found the information the registering the dll's and the disabling options. We have tried both of these and it still doesn't want to load. Do you have any other ideas or do we have to run a repair on the program as Long Tran did? We did not have this problem (although we had several otheres) before adding SP5.
Please help if you can.
Larsen,
There might be a chance that something has messed up while installing SP5 and the OS or the the user login (basically if the user is admin or not) might have not allowed the files to update. I would suggest to run a quick repair on one of the machine and check. Other thing would be to clean uninstall and reinstall on another machine. Check which one fixes the issues and then you can use it on rest of the machines.
I have got the same thing happening for Solidworks 2012 SP2.
When I start the SimultionXpress module on a part I get an emtpy pane on the right with no options.
Have reinstalled a few times already and upgraded the graphics driver to the latest SW recommended one but to no avail..
Strange thing is on the other computer in our office it runs fine.
Has anyone found a satisfying answer for this issue? My "V"AR can't help me either..
See below image..
We have since found the answer..!
We are using Window$ 7 on a 64 bit machine.
The only thing we had to do was:
We've had this issue before with another Solidworks hickup when we first installed Window$ 7.
It seems that this notification interferes with Solidworks.
Hope that helps someone??!
Welcome to SW forums Tran.
Do you have part (with some features) opened up when you click on Simulationxpress. Do you get any error messages or pop up windows. Do you get the Simulationxpress icon on the taskpane tab.
