I have never seen this message.... Can anyone explain????
Nick - make sure you've got your "Options/File Location/Document Templates" folder setup correctly. Far as I can remmeber that's what did it for me when I got the same error a while back. Expect someone with more knowledge will pop up soon to give you a more-precise answer...
I checked on all this and all is well. Though every step I have imported today I get this error message. I frequently import steps and today is the first time I have seen this error. Nothing has been changed with my templates or the location of them.
Any ideas anyone?
Nick, this may be a shot in the dark as I haven't tested it - have you got "Create sketch on new part" checked in Options/Sketch? Try unchecking as this may be preventing your imported parts being created correctly.
Keith, thanks for the suggestion...I just checked and the box was unchecked.
This also happens when I try to create a part in context of an assembly.
I get the warning in the first picture below.
Then when I click "ok", I receive the error in the second picture attached.
I know there must be a simple fix to this?
This shows up when the templates that are chosen in
Tools>Options>System options>default templates are not pathed correctly
or no longer available. These templates have to come from the directory
that is set in tools>options>system options>file locations>templates.
