How do you add the datum (box) to the geometric tolerance??
RC on the feature control frame and select properties.
Then you will see the ability to type in the datum letter in the control box.
Here is the help file information
I didn't know you had to put a letter in the "tolerance" box, thought it was for numbers.. SW should add another box and name it "reference to DATUM" not tolerance..
You can also look into using the dimxpert as well. That will allow
you to set your datums in the model and import them into the drawings.
From your screen shot of the editor, you are placing the Primary Datum reference ('A' in your case) in the wrong location. The proper place for the first Datum reference is in the "Primary" box. I suggest you read this http://help.solidworks.com/2011/english/solidworks/sldworks/legacyhelp/sldworks/detailing/hidd_gtol.htm.
Ahh missed that the first time....Just went with what gave me the result I was lookin for and didn't dig further..
Yes, I missed that in your screen shot as well. Obviously the primary 2 and 3
are for your second and tertiary datums. Also if you select the drop down
arrows in the primary box, it will give you the option to do an A-B.
