My default bend radius under bend parameters is set at .480.
I would like it to default to .031.
it's in the sheetmetal feature.
If you are using bend table the rad should be in there.
If not edit Sheet-Metal1 and its under Bend Parameters
After drawing a base flange I click on insert, sheet metal, edge flange. Under flange parameters in the feature tree, use default radius is checked and the radius is grayed out, but I can see the default radius is .460.
I want to change that default radius to .031.
Every time I create an edge flange I want it to default to .031 not the .460 it defaults to now.
That value is stored in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2011\General. In that key is a key named Sheet Metal Radius, and the value is in Meters. Therefore enter .0007874 to get your .031".
I have gone into REGEDIT and changed the number for sheet metal radius to .0007874.
When I return to Solidworks and create an edge flange the default is still .480.
It seem as though after I change the number in the REGEDIT it is not saving the information or Solidworks is over riding the change.
Carl, did you restart solidworks after changing the reg_key?
I did restart solidworks after the modification.
I found the problem to be having solidworks open when trying to make the adjustment.
Yes, I remember having a problem like this. It's almost like solidworks has a backup up the registry in memory while it's open...and even if you go in the registry and change stuff while SW is open, on close it will rewrite all the info...so yeah, solidworks needs to be closed in order for the setting to be set correctly.

X2 for me, every version I can remember using the last bend radius I used always came thru the next part I did using sheet metal.
But it does have to be changed in the sheet metal feature I beleive
