I have been trying to place a weld bead fillet between two sections of 2"*3"*0.25" rectangular tubing. The corner radii are not letting the bead propagate around the perimiter of the joint. Anyway around this?
I would like to check a loading with SimExp.

Unfortunately, I have discovered that SimExpress doesn't handle multi-bodies, so I'll just have to code it myself.

you can merge (combine) the bodies into one.
i believe cosmos can simulate the welded joint.
however, it does not require the weld to actually be modeled , which is a real time saver.
I don't think you'll get the desired results as you can't specify if it a welded joint or bolted joint. So whether you model the bead or not, it's not going to effect much.
Better you use Simulation and define the joint as welded to run the FEA.
