I am new to SW surface and feature creation.
I was looking thru mold design tutorials and couldn't find a valuable answer.
Here is my question:
I have a core and cavity from a mold, imported into SW.
My challenge is to create proper electrodes for making the ribs and shapes on the core/cavity parts.
Is there a simple way to achieve this?
Can this be done in part environment or assembly?
Attached is a simple example.
Someone please explain the step by step procedure to get that.
Thanks
JOHN
John,
First, I believe that you will end up designing your parts with in the confines of the
assembly. This process is called top down. This will create external references
because your parts will be referencing each other.
I would look at the 3D sketch, surfacing toolbars and the mold toolbars and maybe the sweep
command then relook at the tutorials in association with these.
The mold toolbar has a command called cavity. I have used this and it will come in
handy for what you are doing.
