Is it possible to set a part to be ignored in Interference Detection? I have some joined and split parts in my assembly. They base parts interfere with the new parts and any other part that is mated to them. I know you can choose to ignore while doing interference detection, it would be nice though to not have these parts show up especially when you have 100+ interferences.
True but its a big hassle if you have 2k+ parts in an assembly/subassemblies. A option similar to the "Exclude from BOM" on each part would be nice.
You could click and drag over all of the parts to select them all and then just click on the ones you dont want to include if there are only a few. You could create a custom property for parts not to be/to be used in interfearance detection then use the advanced component selection tool to selct all files with that property. If you assign the property as a ckeck box it would be just like the exlude from BOM tool. Just an idea.
Thanks, thats an idea. I created a CP called "IntDet". Then created a Advanced Selection search : IntDet custom property not equal "OFF". This selects everything except except those parts.
Its a bit dirty but works.
In the interfearrance properties you can pick wich components are being checked just dont add the ones you dont want. Instead of slecting the intire assembly use sub assys or parts.
