Not sure what happened but I don't get any preview on any part or assembly that I opened. Normally when you hover the cursor over an entity you will get a preview before you actually click on the part but I don't see the preview anymore. Any ideas?
Are you maybe talking about Dynamic Display where you move over something and it highlights the edges? If so, go to Settings, Display/Selection and check the box. Also check the one in FeatureManager. The first setting will sometimes turn off by itself, especially if you have a 3D mouse. If so, calibrate it and that will reduce the incidences. You can search the forums for several discussions on this.
Try re-booting your system, SW sometimes forgets how to run.
Still no preview after reboot. Tried parts or assembly and nothing. Even created a new part and still no preview.
Are you using Win 7? If so did you go to SP1?
Any resent changes to your system?
Troy, No changes to my system. Been using it for the past year with no change.
Thanks Wayne, your first suggestion did it. Can you elaborate on the Feature Manager option? I'm not seeing any where to turn on preview. Are you talking about the four icons that is right of the Property manager? Hide/Show, Display mode etc?
Nope, it's Dynamic highlight in the FeatureManager section of the System Options. With this box checked, clicking on something in the tree will highlight it in the graphics area.
That box is checked in the Feature Manager under System Option and you are correct. I do have a 3D mouse hooked up to my computer but I rearly use it so maybe that was what turned off the preview in the first place.
