Our company is looking to reverse engineer mechanical parts for the mining industry. We are looking to evaluate Portable CMM arms with probs and intergrated laser scanners.

Has anyone out there experience with reverse engineering largish parts around 4 meters.

Possible software solutions we are currently looking at are

PolyWorks http://www.innovmetric.com/polyworks/3D-scanners/so_reverse.aspx?lang=en doesn't appear to intergrate directly into SolidWorks?

DesignWorks http://www.dezignworks.net/solidworks.html

Reverse Engineering.com http://www.reverseengineering.com/software-integration-solidworks.html

The software solution needs to be able support data from prob arm as well as laser scan data (point cloud data).
