Upgraded to 2011 sp2.0 this morning. Now I can't obtain a license. The license manager is allowing me to use swx 2009. The license manager is 2011 version.
Any ideas or has anyone else had this problem? Is there a license manager update available somewhere?

**edit** I just looked at version #'s and upgrading to sp2.0 gave me a newer version of license administrator than the version on the server (v19.2.xxxxx vs. v19.1.xxxxx)
Well, we upgraded the network license administrator last night to the 19.2.xxxx version, and I still get the same error.
we just went thru this --- that -25 error is an error with the license server
the server person swore they had the correct version loaded...I dl'ed the 2.0 verision and had them re-install...it worked for us
we are at version 19.2.0.0049
the only things I can suggest are - open the license admin tool in 2011
I verified with my own eyes that the license admin on the server is the same as on my workstation. I've verified all the things you suggested. I also tried borrowing a license and got a strange message that it could not find the license. Even though the other tab shows 4 available.
Is this something new? I don't remember ever having to update the license manager when installing a new service pack.

but SP2 is our first go with 2011...and therefore our first attempt at the 2011 license server...

This sounds like a classic case of you need to uninstall 2011, wipe your
registry clean and do a fresh install.
Performed an uninstall/registry clean/re-install and have the same problem. Noticed something interesting, somehow I have listed an old borrowed license. However, on the license usage tab, there is no license allocated to me. When I try to return it, it says it can't find the license file.
I have never had an issue w/ the network licensure running multiple versions of Swx before, but could there be a hangup between swx09 and swx11?

The licensing has been linked back to Solidworks site since SP 3.0 of 2007.
Maybe there is something not cleared out of Solidworks system. There was someone
else on this forum who said Solidworks mixed up his license with someone elses and
that was causing grief. Maybe a similar issue with yours.
I know people from Solidworks read these forums, so maybe someone from there
will see this thread.

delete all the SolidWorks software off of it, clean the registry, etc...
re-download just the license server software from SW...reboot the server and re-install the license server software
Well, we finally got this solved. The guy that upgraded the server hadn't used the new version of the license manager. He was used to the days of the dongle where you had to email off for a file. All it took was to request/refresh the license from solidworks. I guess it's frustrating that the install manager didn't prompt for us to perform this final very vital step!
