SW is stuck in a loop with the attached message, “you attempted to change a field that is currently locked by a design table”. After I hit ok, it just reopens with the same message until I can quickly change configs. Right now I have one config with all parts un-suppressed, but in another config I need two of them suppressed (this is the one with the issue). I’ve recently upgraded to SW 2011 SP2.0 and this never happened in previous versions. Does anyone know if they changed the way to suppress/un-suppress parts/assys using the design table?
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
I have also tried changed the design table to update when reloaded and it always unsuppresses the parts that I need suppressed. if i suppress them it just reappears.
Thanks,
mike
Finally figured this out with a little help:
If this ever happens to anyone, the Tools toolbar automatically has the Symmetry Check command loaded in 2011. This was interfering with the suppression of sub-assys in my main assy and caused them to re-appear. Just remove the command from the Tools toolbar, or hide the Tools toolbar all together. This seemed to fix this issue.
