Anyone have a definitive answer on whats the largest file that can be checked into Enterprise. I have a 4.2GB .zip file which checks in but returns this error. We plan on vaulting .zip files of software binarys.
Thanks
Scott

5.3GB zip file worked here... I wonder if adding the file on the archive server itself would help instead of a client machine.
Check your error log for a more detailed error.
Thanks for the input. I also tried checkin in the file on the archive server. The error returned that "the socket closed gracefully"
Is there some scoket setting that times out when large files are being checked in?
Really need this one solved.

I don't know if this helps but after we upgraded form EPDM 2010 SP3 to EPDM 2011 SP1 we started getting errors on all files larger that 100MB. My VAR informed me that SP2 fixed the issue, see SPR 585013. We install SP2 a couple weeks ago and it has helped some, I still cannot get latest version on files over 2 Gb. You should mention it to your VAR if you haven't already.
I've had some success modifying the TCP socket timeout default...but not much. The default is 240 seconds, the maximum you can go to is 300 seconds. Time how long it takes before the file reports as being failed...if it is around 240 seconds, you have a little more wiggle room left.
How is the client connection to the archive server? Gigabit cards? Good cables and switches?
Check your connectivity to the archive server with a 1500 packet size. If you are losing packets of that size, you are likely having network issues. Reference: Blog entry about how Ping can help you do this.
Are you sure it has something to do with the file size?
That looks like a card error to me. Does the error occur when you check in a small zip file? Do you have a card defined for zip files?
